Until October 27 the Giardino di Boboli is hosting 16 works by the English master Tony Cragg, one of the leading exponents of contemporary sculpture.

Tony-Cragg-SB 2

It is a series of monumental sculptures, his most recent ones, created by the artist in the last 20 years, inspired by the forces of nature, that are in dialogue with the rational order, the result of man's work inside the garden.

Huge metal castings, shiny steel geysers, giant resin flowers are just some of the works that appear out of nowhere in the most evocative places of the Giardino di Boboli, leading visitors on an awe-inspiring and exciting path.

The theme of sculpture in the park is indeed a core concept in Tony Cragg's work, that finds in the Giardino di Boboli the ideal balanced match while the study of the material and its relationship with the surroundings leads to new and unexpected meanings and interpretations.
