The Agenzia per il Turismo di Firenze (Tourism Board of Florence) is an agency of the Province of Florence established with Regional Law 42/2000.
The Agenzia per il Turismo, or APT, promotes the city and the surrounding territory composed of 44 townships forming the province of Florence.
The APT carries out important tasks related to receiving and assisting tourists by means of its information offices, the production of informational material, and through its website which is constantly updated with all the practical, cultural, and event information tourists may need.
APT is therefore an important point of reference for tourists in organising their visit to Florence, finding out about the city’s museum and artistic offers, performances, exhibitions, folklore traditions, and food and wine specialties, in addition to making suggestions for itineraries, shopping, and “green” tourism.
