Palazzo Vecchio Family Museum

museoragazziFrom 1540 Cosimo I de’ Medici transferred his familyand court there.

Today, in the fastous halls  of Cosimo’s Court are located also the activities of the Museo dei Ragazzi: there are two small theatres, one called the Stanza delle Storie di Bia e Garcia for younger visitors (from 3 to 7), and the other, known as the Civiltà del Rinascimento a Firenze for older children; the Museum also offers a large multimedia zone, a workshop for painting activities and an area devoted to games for exploring perspective.

Moreover, the Museo dei Ragazzi offers some original approach to visit the Palazzo Vecchio: the visit to the Secret Passages; a guided tour by Giorgio Vasari, the court architect and painter, and a lot more besides...

All activities are every day offered to families and individuals. Reservation is requested and free: you can call or send an e-mail from 9.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., from Mondays to Sundays.

 

Every morning and afternoon, from 10.00am to 1.30pm and from 3.00pm to 6.30pm, adults and families can reserve guided tours and playful tours to the Secret Routes, to the Life at the Medici’s Court of Cosimo I, to Discover the Medieval Palace.
