Hiking around Florence means staying in a region and enjoying landscape, nature, hospitality, quietness and open air. No crowds, no traffic, no noises.

cammini-1Our hiking suggestions will help you to plan an excursion exactly as you like it, if short for just one day or long on different days on ancient paths. Routes where you walk on the footsteps of the pilgrims of the past, rich in nature and landscapes, and full of the historical relics that can still be see.

There is a network of well maintained, marked trails of different length so you can choose the hike which will suit your abilities the best.

One of the best known hiking route is the so called Via degli dei (The way of Gods) which connects Bologna to Florence : La via degli Dei

It is a sort of a ring of paths and routes which surround Florence, where you walk on hills and along rivers. It is the Anello del Rinascimento: The Renaissance Ring trail

The most famous Italian walking route is the Via Francigena, which does not include Florence, but crosses a part of its territory, the beautiful Valdelsa: Tuscan Via Francigena
