These notes are for the Agenzia per il Turismo of Florence website alone and not for other websites which may be accessed through links from it. They are also based on Recommendation N° 2/2001 which the EU authorities for information protection, associated in the Group established pursuant to Article 29 of EU directive 95/46/CE, adopted on 17 May 2001 to identify minimum requisites for collecting personal information on line and, in particular, the means, time and nature of the information that recipients must provide to users who access web-pages, independently of the reason for access. Body responsible for processing The personal details of identified or identifiable persons who consult this site may be processed. The body responsible for processing is the Agenzia per il Turismo of Florence (APT) whose head office is in Via Manzoni 16 - 50121 Florence.
Place and aims of information processing Processing of information obtained through the web services of this site will take place at the above-mentioned head office of the Agenzia per il Turismo of Florence and will be performed exclusively by technical staff of the department entrusted with said processing or by staff in charge of occasional maintenance. No information obtained from the web service is communicated or disseminated. Personal details supplied by users who request informative material to be delivered to them are only used to perform the service requested or when communication of such details is required by law. The specific aims of single processes may be identified further within the various services in the portal for which specific information on the management of personal details is provided pursuant to Legislative Decree N° 196 of 30 June 2003. Type of data processed Navigation details In the course of normal operations, the computer systems and the software procedures set up for this website acquire certain personal information, the transmission of which is implicit in the use of protocols of internet communication. This information is not collected to be associated with identified parties but is of a nature which lends itself, by processing and association with information held by third parties, to identify users. It includes IP addresses or user computer domain names which access the site, the addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request and the method used to submit it to the server, the size of the file obtained in reply, the numerical code of the state of the reply given by the server (completed, error, etc.) and other parameters of the operating and computer system used by the user.
Data supplied voluntarily by the user The free, explicit and voluntary submission of e-mail to the addresses given on this site involves the subsequent acquisition of the sender's address which is necessary to respond to the requests, and any other personal information included in the missive. Specific summary notices will be progressively posted or visualised on the pages set up for the individual services requested. Cookies No personal user information is implicitly acquired by the site. Cookies are not used to send personal information, nor are persistent cookies used for tracing users. The only persistent cookie used enables the user's specific navigation mode of the site to be personalised so that the same choice does not have to be repeated every time the site is visited. The use of session cookies (which are not memorised persistently on the user's computer and disappear when the browser closes down) is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (haphazard numbers generated by the server) which are necessary to enable the site to be explored securely and efficiently.
Freedom in supplying information In addition to the navigation data specified or that which may be specified with regard to certain particular processing operations having to do with the various services the portal supplies, users are free to give their personal details within the relative application forms. If this information is not given it could jeopardise the applicant's request.
