The Uffizi are the most visited museum in Italy, with more than 2.200.000 recorded visitors in 2017. From March 1st 2018 the ticketing system of this museum, as well as the one for Palazzo Pitti and Garden of Boboli, has changed.

There are two important pieces of news. The first one concerns the cost of admission: indeed, the single ticket price will increase considerably in the period from March to October (included), while in winter, during what is generally regarded as "low season" (from November to February), prices will be cheaper, especially for the visit of the Palazzo Pitti and Garden of Boboli complex, so as to encourage tourists to see Florence at this time of year.

The second piece of news regards the introduction of a joint ticket for all these museums: Uffizi, Palazzo Pitti and Garden of Boboli. This ticket, very good value for money when you wish to visit all three places, is available in two price ranges according to the season and, these being Italian State-owned museums, even at a discounted price for EU citizens aged between 18 and 25.

The joint ticket, valid three consecutive days, allows one visit per museum and it is activated at the entrance of the Uffizi; this entrance is by compulsory booking, to be done at the time of purchase. Therefore priority access to the Uffizi will take place at the appointed time and only after visiting the Uffizi the tourist will be able to visit Palazzo Pitti and the Garden of Boboli, with priority access. The museums of Palazzo Pitti are:
Galleria Palatina, Galleria d'Arte Moderna, Tesoro dei Granduchi, Galleria della Moda e del Costume e Royal Apartments. Bardini Garden and Museo delle Porcellane can be visited with the ticket of Boboli Garden.

The prices of the joint ticket are the following:
From March 1st to October 31st full price € 38, reduced price € 21
From November 1st to February 28th full price € 18, reduced price € 11
For those who are entitled to free admission there is a charge of € 4, equal only to the cost of the booking.
