Some guided visits are more special than others: the place, the topic or even the guide itself can make a difference. That’s what the new project by AMIRCome semi in viaggio, stories about plants and human migration, is all about.

Amir project

From 16 June until October, AMIR will be hosting several guided visits in different monumental gardens and villa parks, including the Botanic Garden in Florence.

The botanical and cultural diversity of these places seems the perfect starting point for this journey, where across the centuries nature has reproduced many plants coming from other climates and continents. 18 foreign mediators will be in charge of the visits: young guides from Africa, Asia, Latin America and East Europe.

A fascinating adventure about nature, culture and people; highlighting environmental issues and proximity. Because nothing stays forever the same.

The guided visits are in Italian (but can be provided also in Arabic and English and in the languages of the guides)  in collaboration with the Boboli Garden (Uffizi Galleries), the Botanical Garden (Sistema Museale dell'Università di Firenze), the Fondazione Primo Conti and RETE Semi Rurali.

These are the places and visiting hours for AMIR - Come semi in viaggio. Storie di migrazioni di piante e persone:
Area Archeologica di Fiesole: 16 June, 7 July, 1 and 22 September, 13 October (Fiesole)
Giardino della Fondazione Primo Conti: 22 June, 21 September (Fiesole)
Boboli Gardens: 23 June, 4, 27 August, 11 e 31 October (Firenze)
Orto Botanico: 25 June, 13 September, 5 October (Firenze)

The visits require a previous reservation at +39 3287084059 and are free.
