fortezza da basso

Without doubt the novelty of winter in Florence: a brand new and very long ice skating rink!

pista-notteIce skating is a popular sport, to be practiced with friends, your partner or children: you laugh, you fall, you laugh again.
In the city, in addition to the Winter Park of Lungarno Aldo Moro, there is now the Florence Ice Village where an elliptical track of ice that runs around the pool of the Fortezza da Basso Garden was literally created out of nothing.

A very long skating rink - the longest in Europe according to the organizers - certainly a beautiful ring where you can do sport and have fun.
Skates can be hired on site and around the track there are plenty of opportunities for refreshment and fun for children (including carousel and playground) thanks to the Christmas village.

A beautiful setting that attracts many citizens and tourists to the city park of Fortezza during wintertime.

The skating rink is open from 10am to midnight every day until February 29th.

On December 31 a special New Year's Eve Party is scheduled here.
For the rental of skates you pay 2 euros

To access the track you pay 8 euros the first hour; 5 euros from the second hour. Reduced price for children under 10 years.
