CURRENCY EXCHANGE
Currency can be changed at banks and ATMs. Normal bank opening times are Monday to Friday, 8.30am-1.30pm and 2.30-3.30pm. Money can also be changed in the many exchange bureaus or at the post offices. It is advisable to find out what the commission is before proceeding with the transaction.

COINAGE
Euro coinage comes in the following denominations: 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 cents and 1 and 2 euro. The coins are different in size, mass, material, colour, thickness and the kind of edge, in order to make them more easily recognizable by those with impaired sight.

On the reverse (common) side of the 1, 2 and 5 cent coins there is a map symbolizing Europe's geographical position in the world.

On the reverse side of the 10, 20 and 50 cent coins there is a map depicting the European Union as a group of individual nations.

On the reverse side of the 1 and 2 euro coins the same group of nations is depicted as a unit, without national boundaries, to symbolize the unity of the Union.
