Cecco Bonanotte for Vinci

cecco_bonanotte In the baptistery of the Church of Santa Croce (of the Holy Cross), starting from 18th June there will be an exhibition, that will then become a permanent display, of a cycle of sculptures dedicated to the story of salvation in nine tableaux: the Creation and the Original Sin, the Incarnation and the Baptism in the River Jordan, the Last Supper, the Eucharist, the Passion, the Death and Resurrection.

The cycle is completed by a large central rose window – depicting the Apocalypse of St John – placed right above the baptismal font.

On 18th June, inside the Museo Leonardiano, located in the rooms of the Castello dei Conti Guidi, there will be the opening of a one-man show called Cecco Bonanotte.1970-2010.

The exhibition includes sculptures by this great artist – who enjoys international fame but rarely exhibits in Italy – and is an overview of his artistic output over a period of 40 years, from 1970 to 2010.
