On display there will be works by six artists, who have realized them expressly and in a creative confrontation with the area’s most important and significant historical artistic sites, all belonging to the Museum System of the Florentine Valdelsa region: Castelfiorentino, Certaldo, Gambassi Terme, Montaione, Montespertoli.

The exhibition, curated by Gian Lorenzo Anselmi and by the “La Meridiana” Cultural Association, will, therefore, exhibit works by Guido De Zan, Bianca Piva, Claudio Carrieri, Mariano Fuga, Tonino Negri, Rachèle Rivière.

The main exhibition venue will again be the Palazzo Pretorio (Praetorian Palace) of Certaldo, a setting which is also the project’s symbol. Inside, there will be veritable ‘mini’ solo exhibitions for each of the six artists, where they will fully unfold their artistic potentialities.

“CONCRETA” has established a network taking in the most significant historic architectural contexts of the Museum System of the Florentine Valdelsa, which will each host the works of one or more artists, in confrontation with the architectural and historical specificity of each site and with its artistic contents: the Parish Church of Santa Maria a Chianni in Gambassi Terme, the Museo BeGo of Castelfiorentino, a didactic museum dedicated to Benozzo Gozzoli; the “Jerusalem” of San Vivaldo in Montaione, the Wine Museum in Montespertoli.

The exhibition will run from September 3rd to November 1st.

Admission ticket: € 10 full-price, € 8 reduced-price, for visiting all the exhibition venues; each individual venue can also be visited with its own separate admission ticket.
