Lungoungiorno is an event for handicraft and an opportunity to discover a historical space in Oltrarno, fully restored: the Conventino, now called SAM (Arts and crafts space) in via Giano della Bella.

The Conventino has always been a place dedicated to art: in the Twenties some important Italian artists were working in the Conventino halls.

After a long restoration operated by the municipality of Florence the place has developped into a large workshop where craftsmen work.

Lungoungiorno takes place on two days of December 17 and 18.

All day long craftsmen and artists will be working and selling their products.

They all mix traditional and innovative techniques.

A large Emporium is the place for featuring products of excellence: you can find there fashion and art crafts.

You can have lunch and snacks with local food and dishes of the Tuscan tradition.
