The composer’s life and work will be analyzed with special attention to how his music has been received by cinema and dance.

Liszt 2011 is a series of extremely prestigious concerts with free admission for both enthusiasts and newcomers to classical music that will be held in many towns in the Province of Florence.

The first recital will be held on March 26 in the Auditorium in Loppiano, an outlying district of the municipality of Incisa Valdarno and will be performed by the Italian National Youth Orchestra conducted by Nicola Paszkowski. The pianist will be a pupil of Pietro de Maria or Andrea Lucchesini’s master class.

The music featured will be by Liszt and Tchaikovsky. The series is organized jointly by the School of Music Foundation of Fiesole with the Cherubini State Music Conservatoire of Florence and the Orchestra of the Tuscany Region.

On September 2nd a concert will be held at Palazzuolo sul Senio performed by the Conservatorio Cherubini. At 9.00 pm at the Oratorio SS. Antonio da Padova e Carlo Borromeo.

On stage thel mezzosoprano Elisa Morelli with piano players Yun Hwa Jung, Ivano Chiarotti and  Irene Novi. 

On Friday  9 at Rignano sull'Arno a concert by the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole with Giuliano Graniti at the  piano; on Saturday 10  at Marradi at the historical Teatro degli Animosi another concert by the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole.

A the end at Rufina, in the beautiful Villa di Poggio Reale, a concert by the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole will be held on Friday September 16.
