Theatre at Palazzo Medici Riccardi

Palazzo Medici Riccardi - not just a museum but now also a theatre venue, thanks to the special initiative of the Culture office of the Provincia di Firenze, called Genio del Territorio.

The programme starts on August 30th and includes eight performances that can be enjoyed for free by 100 members of the audience each night.



Leading the bill are:

Le roi s’amuse” by Victor Hugo (staged on August 30th and 31st, September 2nd and 3rd).


A
historical play in five acts first performed in 1832 at the
Comédie-Francaise
and Rigoletto by Giuseppe Verdi (staged on September 8th, 10th, 12th and 13th ).


An opera in three acts. The Italian libretto was written by Francesco Maria Piave based on the play
Le roi s'amuse.

Shows
start at 9:00 p.m. in the Michelozzo courtyard, inside Palazzo Medici Riccardi (Via Cavour).
