Si svolge a Firenze il primo World Bach Fest, una tre giorni tutta dedicata a Johann Sebastian Bach. Questo festival, ideato da Mario Ruffini, nato dalla volontà del maestro Ramin Bahrami e promosso grazie al social network Facebook, è un evento fortemente innovativo.

Americans in Florence. Sargent and the American Impressionists on view at Palazzo Strozzi, Florence, from 3 March to 15 July 2012, sets out to illustrate the extremely fertile and multifaceted relationship that the painters of the New World established with Florence and other cities in Tuscany between the mid 19th century and the World War .

In occasion of the retrospective exhibition Ricorda con rabbia (Remember with anger), unpublished and never exhibited works of Manzi can be seen. The most significant works of the first part of the artistic output of Antonio Manzi is on display. A unique exhibition from which arise strong anger and discomfort  which characterize the beginnings of the artist’s activities.

Dinosaurs in flesh and bone is the “giant” exhibition at the Florence Museum of Natural History. The big predators inhabit the Botanical Garden where they appear along with tree branches of ancient trees and in the halls of the Museum of Paleontology.
