During summer, Florence dances under the stars. The Florence Dance Festival celebrates its 30 years in the magical Chiostro Grande in Santa Maria Novella.

The festival is part of the Estate Fiorentina programme, and every night offers different shows from 30 June to 4 August.Sergei-Polunin-Sacre
The Israeli Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company (KCDC), T.H.E Dance Company (The Human Expression Dance Company) from Singapore, Batshevada Tel Aviv, Les Ballets TROCKADERO from Monte Carlo, an irreverent company of just men dressed up, the duet Kinesis Contemporary Dance Company & Alleyne Dance, the Russian State Ballet with the traditional Swan Lake ballet and many more are part of this year’s programme.
In addition, a true star and media phenomenon, with two performances during 23 and 24 July: Polunin in Sacrè.

The Florence Dance Festival, created and directed by Keith Ferrone and Marga Nativo, has had in its 30 years many amazing locations: from the Roman Theater in Fiesole to Piazza Santissima Annunziata, the Museo del Bargello and lastly the rediscovered Chiostro Grande in Santa Maria Novella, a beautiful and charming place in the heart of Florence, perfect for this event.
In addition, the Florence Dance and Performing arts Festival offers also many projects and workshops, where a space for the next generation of creative dancers and coreographers is guaranteed. Masterclasses, meet ups and more to keep  artists updated.
